You’ve decided that MacEwan University is the right place for you, and you’re ready for the next steps. Here's how to get the ball rolling on your university experience.
1. Choose a program (or two)
Before you apply, browse program pages to find out what you'll study and what your future might look like when you graduate. Explore your options. Most programs allow you to select a second-choice program within the same application. Note admission requirements for the programs you're most interested in.
2. Check admission requirements
We’ve created a checklist to guide you through a successful application. If you have questions about the admission process or admission requirements, make the Academic Advising Centre your next stop. Missing high-school prerequisites? Don't meet minimum grade requirements? Academic Advisors can explain your options and help you make a plan.
3. Submit your application
It’s always a good idea to apply early. You receive your admission decision sooner, and you have time to address any problems or questions that come up. After you apply, track your status and submit required documents by the deadlines.
4. Explore funding options
You may be eligible for government student loans, grants, bursaries and scholarships. Some funding options, such as loans, must be paid back. But with scholarships and bursaries, the money stays in your pocket!
5. Put your best foot forward
Many first-year tasks can be done weeks (even months!) ahead of time. At the new student orientation, you will discover all that MacEwan has to offer to support your learning and help you make the most of your university experience.
